The Fault In Our Noses
Move over Shailene, I smell a new star.
You know, it’s not just girls. If guys have to accept you for who you are and your body type, then girls should have to accept us for who we are and our body type. Not all of us are Hollister models.
Bodyshaming is heavily imbalanced against women. This idea of “fat girls have to try harder in bed”, for one. Women are far more judged by their appearance, not just by men in a potential dating capacity, but in employment, in court etc. etc. No matter what a woman achieves, it is always mentioned secondarily to her appearance, her weight, whereas men are apparently entitled to exist beyond their appearance. So yes, men shouldn’t be bodyshamed either, but this is very much a gendered issue.
I do Augustus, I do.
Kids, always stay awake in the car.
this is so calming
Ke$ha is a perfect example of how the media loves to make intelligent girls seem dumb and bitchy even though they are actually smart and caring. Ke$ha isn’t far from being a feminist icon but the media continues to label her as a dumb drunk party girl.
and Ke$ha is all for loving yourself and equality but she continues to receive harassment from mainstream media. Enough harassment to the point that she developed an eating disorder because of it. She is an example of how horrible and sexist the music industry is.
Ke$ha stands in the category of “gifted genius”, she scored near perfect (1500) on her SAT’s and has an IQ of 140

“Why are you looking at me like that?”
“Because you’re beautiful. I enjoy looking at beautiful people, and I decided a while ago not to deny myself the simpler pleasures of existence.”
